Brush Caulk

Acrylic Elastomeric Brushable Caulk

DESCRIPTION: Kool Roof Brush Caulk is an acrylic, single component, brush grade caulk. It is used as a patching compound for sealing leaks and in general roof maintenance. It is a thick, white acrylic, liquid patching compound that dries to form a “rubber-like” protective membrane. It can be used alone or with Kool Roof Poly4 fabric to make reinforced repairs to damaged areas of a roof. Ideal for patching holes, cracks, gaps, flashing, seams, fasteners, skylights, vents and other roof penetrations.
SURFACE PREPARATION: All unnecessary and nonfunctional equipment must be removed from the roof. Remove loose flaking rust, loose paint or coatings with wire brush or high power pressure washing. The substrate must be pressure washed ( Kool Roof Roof Wash). A minimum working pressure of 1,500 psi should be used to remove all dirt, dust, previous paints & coatings, which are delaminating. Thoroughly rinse roof surface after cleaning. A standard agricultural pump-up sprayer can be used along with a deck brush to clean the roof, after which the roof must be thoroughly rinsed with clean water. Do not allow Kool Roof Roof Wash to dry on the roof. If the roof has an excess amount of oil or grease. scrubbing with a deck brush may be needed.
USES: Metal, asphalt, asphalt singles, concrete, brick, Mobile Homes/ RV’s, masonry, built-up, roof tile
APPLICATION: Choose the morning of a warm day to apply the Kool Roof Brush Caulk. Use a high quality nylon/ polyester brush to apply.
